Friends of IF – pre mom JAZ

Hello my name is Jazmin 🙂  I am 5 months and half in my pregnancy. Beginning the year I got a job. However, it was a temporal position as computer programmer and it worked perfect because now I can enjoy my last trimester of my pregnancy and my new stage as Mother when my baby is due.

I am try do a little bit or exercise during the morning, read something and do the house chores not everything at once but a little bit every day, My baby will due in September.

I don’t have a name for the baby yet, but I am looking for some Greek names. I want to experience the water birth if you have had this experience I would like to know how was your experience and also since I won’t use epidural I would like to know any suggestions about relaxation techniques for the birth.

  1. Hi Jaz 🙂 First of all congratulations of pregnancy.. Unfortunately I won’t tell you anything about the water birth experience because I’m a man, so intrinsically I don’t have any kinds of these experiences 😉 BTW Do you already know the gender of your child? Very intresting for me is this Greek name.. May i know, why that idea? As for me Greek’s names associates me with mythology and ancient philosophy (I love mythology and philosphy)…. Do you know site “Behind the name”? Here a list of Greek names http://www.behindthename.com/names/usage/greek maybe it’ll helpful for you…
All the best for You and your child 🙂

      • Happiness and tolerance! The lives of my husband and me revolved around our baby. When she was born, my husband was a graduate (was back to college) so he became a “second” mom while I was working. 😉

    • Hello Nora, thank you for commenting as well. I like the name that your friend picked up for her son. I am great getting close to my 6 month of pregnancy. I started feeling more kicking on my womb, it is great to feel that. I went to a prenatal class Saturday and I learned a lot about all the stages during the labor. Something that was amazing to learn was that the Uterus is a muscle and when you have a contraction the Uterus moves to all directions to get the baby out and not just the lower part of our body. It is great to see how our body prepares for giving birth and all the great things that does.

  5. I’ve always wondered how do women become mothers ( emotionally I mean ) and how this tiny , so tiny cute thing becomes so precious , becomes an entity , a life and makes a huge impact on us
In spite of all the suffering that the mother endure only carrying her baby between her arms draws a smile on her face , a smile that full of love which is different from any love that we experienced ever . I know all that from just looking at my mother’s eyes and feel how much she loves us … with such love between our hands wars mustn’t break out
BTW Jaz you have a very beautiful smile 🙂

  6. Hello Jaz, your name is a flower name “Jazmine” which is one of my favorites, it reminds me of the old houses in my home town Damascus-Syria 🙂
I wish you a healthy pregnancy, and as you said exercise and good nutrition are important 🙂

    • Hello Katia. Did you have Jazmine flowers at home or did they grow up around there? Yes right now I am focusing on exercises to open my pelvis, that helps to have a better experience during labor.

  7. Hello Jaz! Congratulations of pregnancy! Sweet picture of you and your baby reminded me of my birth. son and daughter are alredy grown up. As mami said, I also felt happy, tolerant and patient. Since they were born, I was busy very much. They did’t permit me to take a coffee break whenever I wanted. But they gave me happiness more than patient. Even now babies involve me, I’m engaged in nutritional consultation for babies, toddlers and expectant mothers. I’m interested in meals in other countries. Jaz, what do you take care in your pregnancy period in your country about nutrition? If possible, could you tell me what meal will you give your baby?

    • I think motherhood teach us not just to think about us to be worried about someone else. Those attributes you described are great and we need them more nowadays. What are your children’s names? About taking care in pregnancy I try to eat a lot of fiber and water to have a better digestion. I can say I have had a great pregnancy whithout any problems. I try to do prenatal cardio and eat a lot of fruit and a normal diet. Since I don’t live in Mexico anymore, I reside in USA now I think I try to combine my husband’s culture eating with mine. Sometimes we cook Mexican and others American. We do a menu for two weeks trying to buy the stuff we need and to see that we are having a good diet. I’ve been drinking during morning oatmeal with sesame and almond milk shake. I try to eat not a lot of chilli as you know Mexicans get into a lot of spicy food. I avoid that so I don’t have a lot of heartburn. I plan on breastfeeding and at 6 months giving my baby some solids. I think a common thing we use is veggies like squash, pumpkin, rice. What are your recommendations about that?

  9. Hi, Jaz! Thank you for your comments and I understand baby’s kicking is great experience that it makes happy. About pre moms, usually I suggest them proper calorie and balanced diet depends on their height and weight. The most important thing is balanced and normal diet you’ve already eaten. We tend to eat meat and fish more than vegetables. Certainly meat and fish are useful to get energy, but vegetables are also useful. And as you said, fiber is also important and useful, especially water soluble fiber is good! Generally, sticky vegetables, oatmeals etc. contain a lot of it. So your diet is perfect! Is oatmeal often eaten as babyfood in your country? Oatmeal has become popular in Japan than before.
My recommendations are carrot, radish, bean curd etc. They are normal and easy to squash. BTW My son’s name is Kohshi we named from our favorite singer. And my daughter’s name is Minami that its meaning is south. Because she was born in southern country, so we named it. It seems we named easily, but we like their names. And I want to see your another picture(^^)
